SAN DIEGO -

FUTURE SCHEDULES

The San Diego State football team will play host to Sacramento State in 2018 and Weber State in 2019, the schools announced today. The Aztecs and Hornets will meet on Sept. 8, 2018, while the game against the Wildcats will take place on Aug. 31, 2019.

The addition of the Big Sky schools to the future schedules gives SDSU three non-conference games so far in 2018 (at Stanford, home vs. Arizona State and Sac State) and two in 2019 (at UCLA, home vs. Weber State).

San Diego State and Sacramento State will be meeting for the first time in series history. The Hornets finished 7-5 last year and 4-4 in the Big Sky.

The Aztecs have won both meetings with WSU, but have not played since a 58-12 SDSU win on Sept. 23, 1967. San Diego State ended up with a 10-1 record in 1967. Weber State was 2-10 in 2014 and 2-6 in Big Sky play.

The Aztecs play host to Fan Fest on Saturday at Qualcomm Stadium. The gates open at 3:30 p.m. PT with the scrimmage set for 5 p.m. PT.

SDSU, which is one of 27 schools to play in a bowl game each of the last five seasons and one of just three from the "Group of 5" conferences, has been picked to win the West Division of the Mountain West by the league's media and multiple publications. San Diego State finished 2014 with a 7-6 record and a 5-3 mark in MW play, and returns eight starters on a defense that ranked 10th in passing, 13th in scoring, 16th in total and 19th in pass efficiency, and Donnel Pumphrey, who rushed for a school-record 1,867 yards and 20 touchdowns as a true sophomore, on offense.

Season tickets and mini-plan tickets are on sale to the general public. They can be purchased at GoAztecs.com, by calling (619) 283-7378 or visiting the Aztec Athletic Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium Window E.
