BEHIND THE SCENES | COACH LONG | SLATER | WHITTAKER
San Diego State football head coach Rocky Long, and seniors Pearce Slater and J.J. Whittaker each represented the Aztecs at the 2015 Mountain West Football Media Day Tuesday in Las Vegas.
The day's festivities got underway at 8 a.m. PT with the ESPN3 live show (Long and Whittaker) and a Mountain West Network interview (Slater and Long), and concluded at 5:10 p.m. PT with the Mountain West Network live show (Long and Whittaker).
Altogether, the trio did over three hours of TV interviews, three hours of print interviews, three hours of local TV interviews, 45 minutes of promos, 30 minutes of social media interviews and almost 10 radio interviews.
Earlier in the day, SDSU was picked to win the West Division of the Mountain West with 177 points, including 27 of the 30 first-place votes in the MW West.
Senior Donny Hageman was also named the MW Special Teams Player of the Year, and was joined on the preseason all-conference team by senior Pearce Slater, and juniors Damontae Kazee and Donnel Pumphrey.
