CHULA VISTA, Calif. - San Diego State senior Kortney Ross completed her collegiate career in style by winning the pole vault at the 2015 San Diego Imperial USATF Open Championships on Saturday in nearby Chula Vista.

Ross cleared 13 feet, 7 1/4 inches (4.15 meters) to win the event, which featured 12 entrants. The mark was a personal record for Ross and is tied for the seventh-best pole vault in program history. The 13-07.25 would have been good enough for 15th at the NCAA Championships this year.

Former Aztecs Whitney Ashley (discus throw) and Allison Reaser (heptathlon) have qualified for the USA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 27.
