SAN DIEGO - Due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions, San Diego State softball's non-conference game against Oregon State has been canceled and will not be made up. The Aztecs (35-18) and the Beavers (26-25) will still play at noon PT Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium in what will now be the lone contest of the series.
SDSU, which has played the 13th-toughest non-conference schedule in the country this year, will look for the sweep over OSU after winning, 2-0, on Feb. 13 in San Diego. San Diego State has won five consecutive games and is 2-3 against teams from the Pac-12 this season.
Following the game, the Aztecs will honor their seven departing seniors - Lorena Bauer (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS), Jacki Campa (La Verne, Calif.), Kaitlin Connors (San Diego/La Costa Canyon HS), Briana Gamm (Sherman Oaks, Calif.), Kayla Jordan (San Diego/Bonita Vista HS), Victoria Kobold (Concord, Calif.) and Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) - in a special ceremony.
Tomorrow's game will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network.
