FORT COLLINS, Colo. - San Diego State's softball game at Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., originally scheduled for 4 p.m. MT today, has been postponed due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions.
Weather permitting, the Aztecs (28-16, 11-4 MW) and the Rams (22-22, 3-9 MW) will play a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. MT. Sunday's game will go on as scheduled at noon MT.
It's the second straight road series for the SDSU that has been altered due to inclement weather. Last Tuesday, San Diego State and Nevada were only able to play one game of a scheduled doubleheader, a 9-6 win by the Aztecs. SDSU then swept Wednesday's games by scores of 14-3 in five innings and 9-7.
After falling to No. 9/6 UCLA, 4-1, on Feb. 8, San Diego State has won seven consecutive road games, including a perfect 6-0 mark in Mountain West road contests.
