WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, N.J - The San Diego State rowing team concluded competition at the Knecht Cup in New Jersey on Saturday. Originally scheduled for Saturday morning, the Aztecs' event was postponed due to weather conditions until Saturday evening.
SDSU raced in the fourth heat of the women's varsity eight event. The heat got underway at 7:20 p.m. ET with the Aztecs in the fourth lane. San Diego State crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 7 minutes, 1.33 seconds. Miami claimed the top spot in the heat (6:47.81) followed by, UConn (6:50.83), Wisconsin's lightweight squad (6:53.38), SDSU and Fairfield (7:10.86). San Diego State's finish did not qualify them to advance further in the competition.
Up next, the Aztecs will return to home to take on UC San Diego on April 17 on Mission Bay followed by the WIRA Championships on April 25-26 on Lake Natoma in northern California.
