TEMPE, Ariz. - San Diego State's Emma Henrikson (Malmö, Sweden) and Georgia Lacey (Del Mar, Calif.) each shot a 2-over-par 74 on Friday to lead the Aztec women's golf squad during the opening round of the PING/ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course. As a team, SDSU finds itself in 15th place after posting a collective 14-over 302 on the par-72, 6,223-yard track.

Individually, Henrikson drained a team-high four birdies on the day, including back-to-back conversions on the Nos. 14-15. However, the Aztec junior was saddled with two bogeys on her final three holes to complete the round in a tie for 41st.

Meanwhile, Lacey was cruising along at even-par on the back nine thanks to birdies on the 10th and 11th greens, but bogeys on her two finishing holes derailed the SDSU freshman's momentum.

Elsewhere, sophomore Sirene Blair (South Jordan, Utah) and freshman Mila Chaves (Asuncion, Paraguay) remain three strokes behind in a tie for the 70th position after each carded a 77 on Friday. Despite closing with four straight pars, Blair was plagued by four bogeys over a five-hole span following the turn, while Chaves encountered a similar fate after notching three straight pars to begin her back nine.

The Aztec starting lineup also included senior Paige Spiranac (Scottsdale, Ariz.), who sits in 86th after stumbling through an opening-round 83, six shots in back of fellow teammate Haleigh Krause (Eugene, Ore), an unattached freshman who finds herself in a tie for 75th after recording a 78.

Arkansas posted a 4-under 288 on Friday to grab a two-shot lead over Duke (-2) in the team standings, while host school Arizona State ( -1) sits in third, followed by the trio of Stanford (E), South Carolina (E) and Arizona (E).

Duke's Leona Maguire fired a 6-under 66 to open a two-stroke advantage over Stanford's Lauren Kim (-4) and Lakareber Abe of Alabama (-4) on the individual leaderboard, while five players remain tied for the fourth position.

The second round of the PING/ASU Invitational will be contested on Saturday, with No. 22 San Diego State slated to tee off alongside Oklahoma and UNLV on the No. 10 hole, starting at 8:39 a.m. PDT.
