April 2, 2015 SAN DIEGO - San Diego State athletics and the Aztec Club will host "A Night With the Aztecs," on Thursday, April 30, at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with men's basketball head coach Steve Fisher, football head coach Rocky Long, as well as other current SDSU head coaches and student-athletes.
In addition, San Diego State legends Kyle Turley, D.J. Gay, Randy Holcomb and others will attend the event, which will also feature live entertainment by Atomic Groove, a live auction and packages including travel, dining, sports and entertainment events. Past auction items have included golf with former Aztec great and NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk, and dinner for 12 with Athletic Director Jim Sterk and an Aztec head coach.
"A Night With the Aztecs" will be the largest fundraising event of the year of San Diego State athletics, as all proceeds will benefit the athletic scholarship fund that supports over 500 student-athletes competing in the school's 19 varsity sports.
Tickets for the event are $150, and include a hosted bar and food, while VIP tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $750. All guests must be at least 21 years old to attend, and an online auction will also be available prior to the event.
