FRESNO, Calif. - The San Diego State women's lacrosse team got contributions from several players on Friday night, as the Aztecs defeated Campbell, 16-8, at Fresno State's Bulldog Stadium.

Junior Sophie Koubek led SDSU (2-2, 1-0 MPSF) with four goals, and has now recorded seven goals total in the last two games, while freshmen Elizabeth Rourke and Mackenzie Lech each scored their first-career goals. The Aztecs also dominated the draw controls, which led their strong start and a first-half advantage.

"We were clicking, things were working well," San Diego State head coach Kylee White said. "This week, we focused on getting back to playing our game. Playing hard, playing fast and playing together was our focus throughout the week. Everyone played, and it was a total team effort."

Junior Felice Artuso had a strong game with four draw controls, and senior Christina Ricciardulli finished with seven draws and three groundballs. However, it wasn't an easy victory, as the Aztecs were challenged by Campbell throughout the night.

"Campbell is a very fast, athletic team, and had some great athletes," White said. "It was not a game we could just show up and win. We had to fight for it."

San Diego State returns to action on Sunday, as the Aztecs take on Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) foe Fresno State, beginning at noon PT.
