TARZANA, Calif. - San Diego State's Sirene Blair (South Jordan, Utah) finished in a tie for second place on Tuesday at the Bruin Wave Invitational after carding a 1-over-par 73 during the final round at El Caballero Country Club.

With her score, the Aztec sophomore completed the 54-hole tournament with a combined 5-over 221, sharing the runner-up spot with Anica Yoo of Oregon State, five shots in back of UCLA's Erynne Lee, who took home medalist honors with an even-par 216.

As a team, SDSU slipped one notch from the previous round into fourth place with a collective 45-over 909 after posting a 305 over the final 18 holes on the par-72, 6,173-yard course layout.

Buoyed by four top-10 individual finishes, No. 3 Washington (+26) captured the team title by nine strokes over UCLA (+35), which tied third-place Oklahoma State (+37) for the lowest score of the final round at 294, while the Aztecs and Stanford (+47) rounded out the top five.

On a day when only four golfers in the 79-player field finished with rounds below par, Blair was unable to attach her name to the list, but still managed to climb one spot up the leaderboard. The Utah native overcame four bogeys with a trio of birdies, including two impressive conversions in a row at Nos. 14 and 15, which ranked among the five toughest holes on Tuesday. With her strong finish, Blair now has three-top five performances to her credit this season and five for her career.

SDSU received two additional top-20 placements from Emma Henrikson (Malmo, Sweden) and Mila Chaves (Asuncion, Paraguay), who tied for the 13th and 17th positions, respectively. Henrikson slipped eight spots from round two after posting a 78 over the final 18 holes, sinking just one birdie against five bogeys, along with a double-bogey on the par-4, 360-yard No. 5. Despite the stumble, the Aztec junior still landed in the top-20 for the fourth time this year after completing the tournament at 9-over 225.

Chaves, meanwhile, had her progress stymied on the leaderboard as well after posting a 76 on Tuesday. The SDSU freshman was plagued by five birdies on the day, but seemed poised to make a move after notching two birdies and three pars over a six-hole stretch on the back nine. However, an untimely double-bogey on the par-5 No. 1, her third-to-last hole of the round, derailed her momentum. Still, Chaves finished with a top-20 showing in consecutive events this spring and third on the season with a combined 11-over 227.

Elsewhere, Paige Spiranac (Scottsdale, Ariz.) dropped four places into a tie for 47th at 20-over 236 after carding a 78 on Tuesday. Despite sinking a team-best for birdies for the round, the Aztec senior struggled with inconsistency throughout, notching three bogeys, two double-bogeys, along with a triple at the par-4 14th.

The SDSU delegation also featured Georgia Lacey (Del Mar, Calif.), who matched Henrikson and Spiranac with a 78 over the final 18 holes. The Aztec freshman sank just one birdie compared to five bogeys and a double-bogey, but still managed to jump three spots into a tie for 69th with a collective 245.

San Diego State will be back in action on Wednesday, March 11, when it plays host to Yale in a dual match at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif.
