Game Notes

• San Diego State beats Utah State to become the first team since Wyoming in 1997-98 to defeat Brigham Young, Utah and USU in the same season.

• SDSU won its 27th straight home game, which extends the school record.

• The Aztecs held their eighth opponent this season to fewer than 20 points in the first half. Utah State scored 14 at the mid-way point.

• The 14 points given up by the Aztecs in the first half were the third fewest allowed this season by SDSU (UC Riverside -11, Bakersfield - 12).

• Since 1996-97, Utah State has been held to 42 points or less five times. Two of those times have come against the Aztecs and both were in consecutive meetings. SDSU limited USU to 39 points in the conference tournament quarterfinals last season.
