SDSU FALL CLASSIC II BRACKETS

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team is set to play host to the second installment of the SDSU Fall Classic. The tournament will begin on Friday, November 7 at 9 am and run through Sunday, November 9. Each day doubles play will get action underway with singles immediately following.

The Aztecs will welcome 10 schools to The Mesa including Denver, fellow Mountain West member Air Force, UC Irvine, Stanford, Missouri, Washington, UTEP, UC Santa Barbara, crosstown-rival San Diego and Loyola Marymount. The field is double the size of the SDSU Fall Classic I, which was held on Sept. 26-28.

San Diego State will be looking to continue its success in the fall. It the ITA Southwest Regional in October, the duo of Tami Nguyen and Dora Somoracz advanced to the quarterfinal of the doubles draw before falling to Gabriella DeSimone and Meredith Xepoles of USC, 8-6. At the regional, Kristin Buth was the farthest advancing singles player as she made it to the round of 16 before she fell to No. 15 and top-seeded Zoe Scandalis of USC, 6-3, 6-2.

Admission to the SDSU Fall Classic II is free and fans are encouraged to park in PS5, which is located on the corner of 55th Street and Montezuma Road. A $1 per hour permit is always required to park in PS5. On Friday, PS5 will close at 12 pm to incoming traffic due to the men's basketball game that evening. The parking structure will be open as usual for per-hour permits on Saturday and Sunday.
