Storylines
- Mountain West regular-season champion San Diego State will begin its quest for a third consecutive MW tournament title on Thursday when it plays host to either fourth-seeded Colorado College or No. 5 seed Utah State in the semifinal round. The 7 p.m. PT game atop SDSU Sports Deck will stream live at GoAztecs.com via the MW Network.

- Colorado College and Utah State will meet in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PT at SDSU Sports Deck. The Aztecs beat the Tigers, 3-0, and the Aggies, 2-1, at home earlier this season. Tuesday's other quarterfinal game will feature No. 3 seed New Mexico and sixth-seeded Boise State at 4 p.m. PT. The winner gets No. 2 seed Wyoming on Thursday at 4 p.m. PT.

- The MW Championship is back in San Diego for the second time in three seasons and for the fourth time overall. SDSU played host to the first-ever Mountain West tournament in 1999, and it did not return until 2010. The Aztecs won the tourney the last time it was on campus back in 2012.

- The Championship, which begins on Tuesday, is set to continue on Thursday with semifinal games and conclude on Saturday night with the 7 p.m. PT title game. Tickets will be available one hour prior to the first game each day at the SDSU Sports Deck ticket window (cash only). Adult tickets are $10, and youth (3-14), senior (55+) and student (any student with valid ID) tickets, meanwhile, are $5.

- After securing its third consecutive MW regular-season title at Colorado State back on Oct. 26, San Diego State returned to the pitch on Friday and was on the short end of a 2-1 home decision to New Mexico. The Aztecs played without starting midfielders Victoria Barba and Mariah Helmer, and forward Angela Mitchell, only to find themselves tied with the Lobos in the 60th minute. UNM received the winning goal just seconds before the game turned 61 minutes old to escape with the victory.

- San Diego State enters the MW Championship having won its last four tournament games. In 2012, SDSU beat UNLV and New Mexico on campus to raise the trophy only to celebrate in Albuquerque, New Mexico, one season later after defeating Utah State and Boise State. Overall, the Aztecs are 13-10-2 in Mountain West Championship action.

- SDSU is looking to capture its 10th conference title overall and its fifth league tournament crown in school history. As a member of the Mountain West, the Aztecs won the tourney in 2009, 2012 and 2013. San Diego State also has a WAC tournament trophy from 1995.

- The Aztecs, as a result of earning a top-2 seed, are bypassing the quarterfinal round and heading straight to the semis, a round where they are 5-6 all-time in MW tournament action. If it advances to the championship game, SDSU will take an all-time MW finals record of 3-1-1 into the match.

- Since the start of 2012, San Diego State is 15-2 against Mountain West foes atop SDSU Sports Deck. Going back to the 2009 season, the Aztecs are 22-4-3 vs. the league at home.

- Seniors Kelsey Booth, Hannah Keane, Haley Locker and Helmer, who all arrived on campus in time for the start of the 2011 campaign, have led SDSU to a 58-20-7 record during their time on campus. Their .724 winning percentage is the best in school history over a four-year period. The 58 victories, meanwhile, is tied for the second most (1995-98: 58-21-5; .720) behind the 60 wins produced from 1996-99 (60-23-2; .718). Two wins at the conference tournament will tie the school record.

- San Diego State could meet Colorado College for a second time this season and for the fifth time overall. In four previous meetings, the Aztecs are 2-1-1 against the Tigers.

- The Aztecs could also face a Utah State team that they have beaten three straight times. In four all-time get-togethers with the Aggies, San Diego State is 3-0-1, with the lone tie coming in the first match-up back in 2010 (2ot-T, 1-1) at SDSU Sports Deck.
