LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The San Diego State volleyball team will wrap up its 2014 campaign as it plays its final match of the season tonight against UNLV at 6:00 p.m. (PT) in Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
The Aztecs enter the contest with an overall mark of 14-14 as a young team featuring nine freshmen looks to finish above the .500 mark. SDSU's record in Mountain West play stands at 9-8 as they are assured of finishing .500 or better in league play for the fifth straight season.
UNLV comes into the match with a record of 25-7 having won 12 of its last 14 matches. The Rebels are looking to finish in second place in the final conference standings and enter tonight's contest with a league mark of 13-4.
SDSU loses only one senior for its 2014 squad in the person of right side hitter Chaiymin Steel. The fourth-year Aztec from Reno was stellar in the Aztecs' victory over Utah State on Saturday as she recorded 13 kills and seven digs while hitting at a .388 clip.
