The San Diego State track and field team has released its 2015 schedule, head coach Shelia Burrell announced today. Highlighting the slate is once again the three-day 37th annual Aztec Invitational from March 26-28, 2015.

The Aztec Invite will feature some of the top collegiate teams and athletes in the country and will include open, invitational and high school sections. More information and a meet schedule for the Aztec Invitational will be released in the coming weeks.

After the preseason Red and Black All-Comers Meet on Dec. 6, the Aztecs officially kick off their 2015 campaign at the NAU Friday Night Duals in Flagstaff, Ariz., on Jan. 16.

SDSU then heads to the Big Apple for the competitive Armory Track Invitational on Jan. 30-31 in New York City, before wrapping up its non-championship indoor season at the Don Kirby Elite in Albuquerque, N.M., from Feb. 13-14.

San Diego State looks to win its second MW indoor title in three seasons when it travels to Albuquerque once again for the MW Championships from Feb. 26-28, while the NCAA Championships are slated for Mach 13-14 in Fayetteville, Ark.

The Aztecs begin their outdoor campaign at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge in nearby La Jolla on the campus of UC San Diego on March 14, before heading to the Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles on March 20-21.

Following the 37th annual Aztec Invitational (March 26-28), SDSU goes back to Los Angeles for consecutive weekends with the UCLA Double Dual (April 4) and the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational (April 11).

A busy week follows as San Diego State will split squads for the Mt. SAC/CA Multi's (April 15-16) in Azusa, Calif., prestigious Mt. SAC Relays (April 16-18) in Walnut, Calif., Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. (April 18) and the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif. (April 18).

Next up for the Aztecs is the historic Penn Relays from April 23-25 in Philadelphia, while UCSD's Triton Invitational also takes place on the weekend (April 24-25) across town in La Jolla.

SDSU's final meet before the championship season is the Oxy Invitational in Eagle Rock, Calif., on May 9.

San Diego State begins its championship slate from May 13-16 when it plays host to the Mountain West Championships for the first time since 2007. The Aztecs have won each of the past two outdoor titles and three of the past four MW championship meets overall (also 2013 indoor).

SDSU will look to continue its recent success at the NCAA Championships, which officially begins May 28-30 at the West Regionals (NCAA Prelims) in Austin, Texas, while the finals will be contested in Eugene, Ore., from June 10-13.

San Diego State is one of just 14 teams in the country to finish among the top 25 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in three straight years and one of only two from non-Power 5 conferences.

The Aztecs could also send athletes to various national championships and competitions over the summer.
