The field is set for the 2014 Mountain West Championship and it features top-seeded San Diego State. The league tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with the quarterfinal round at SDSU Sports Deck. The semifinals are slated for Thursday, Nov. 6, with the final scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8.
Joining the two-time defending tournament champion Aztecs is second-seeded Wyoming, No. 3 seed New Mexico, fourth-seeded Colorado College, No. 5 seed Utah State and sixth-seeded Boise State.
Playing in the quarters on Tuesday at 4 p.m. PT will be Boise State and New Mexico, followed by Utah State and Colorado College at 7 p.m. PT. The Broncos-Lobos winner will move on to Thursday to face the Cowgirls at 4 p.m. PT. The USU-CC winner, meanwhile, will play the three-time defending regular-season champs, SDSU, at 7 p.m. PT. The Aztecs defeated both the Aggies and Tigers during the regular season.
The semifinal winners will face each other on Saturday night with the MW's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament on the line. First tap is slated for 7 p.m. PT. All five matches will stream live on The Mountain West Network.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling (619) 283-7378 or by visiting Qualcomm Stadium Window E (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). Tickets are also available on game day at the SDSU Sports Deck ticket window one hour prior to the first game (cash only). Admission for adults is $10 and $5 for youth (3-14), seniors (55+) or students (any student with valid ID). Group tickets are also available for groups of 10 or more at $5 apiece. These tickets must be purchased in advance (by phone or in person at Qualcomm Stadium) and are not available on game day.
