Storylines
- No. 24 San Diego State will split its time home and away this week as it is set to play host to co-Mountain West leader Wyoming before hopping on a plane to visit Colorado State. The game with the Cowgirls is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT Friday at SDSU Sports Deck. The Aztecs' date with the Rams, meanwhile, is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m. MT. Both contests will stream live at GoAztecs.com courtesy of the MW Network.

- SDSU dropped into a first-place tie in the Mountain West standings after posting a 1-1 home record last week. The Aztecs defeated Utah State, 2-1, before having their eight-game winning streak halted after falling to Boise State, 2-0. The loss marked the program's first to a league foe during the regular season since 2012. San Diego State had won 12 such games prior to the defeat.

- Even after splitting two games last week, the Aztecs still find themselves in this week's Soccer America top-25 poll. SDSU enters this week's action at No. 24, falling three spots from last week. San Diego State is in the poll in consecutive weeks for the first time this season and is in the poll for the fourth time in 2014.

- In the victory over Utah State, Aliyah Utush and Hannah Keane each netted their fourth goals of the season. Utush's came in the 21st minute, while Keane blasted hers in the 52nd. The Aggies scored a goal in the 75th and could not find the equalizer as Melanie Vaughn pocketed her 11th win of 2014.

- In the loss to Boise State, San Diego State allowed a goal in the seventh minute and played from behind in a game that featured 28 fouls, nine of which were whistled on SDSU, and four yellow cards (one issued to the Aztecs). The Broncos received an insurance goal in the 86th minute to provide the final margin. Excluding the foul count, San Diego State held an advantage in shots (16-8), shots on goal (5-4) and corner kicks (6-1).

- The Aztecs, who have spent all season in first place in the Mountain West standings, will look to continue the trend this week, but will first have to beat the team that shares their perch atop the league in Wyoming. The Cowgirls handed SDSU its only conference loss of the year in 2013, albeit on the road. SDSU is 12-3-1 all-time vs. Wyoming.

- San Diego State has a history of success over Wyoming in games played in San Diego. The Aztecs are undefeated in eight tries vs. the Cowgirls and five of their last six have been shutouts. In fact, in its last five games vs. Wyoming, SDSU has averaged 2.6 goals and outscored the Cowgirls by a combined score of 13-1.

- Even with the home loss to Boise State, San Diego State still owns a 12-1 home record vs. the Mountain West in regular-season games since the start of 2012. When including the MW tournament games that took place at SDSU Sports Deck in 2012, the record expands to 14-1. Since the 2009 season, the Aztecs are 17-2-3 at home in the regular season vs. the league and 21-3-3 when including conference tournament games.

- Following the game with Wyoming, SDSU will head to Colorado State for the first time in program history. The Rams, who are in their second year of existence, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Aztecs atop SDSU Sports Deck last season.

- San Diego State travels to Fort Collins, Colorado, sporting a 15-1 record against Mountain West foes on the road since the start of the 2011 season. SDSU is also 36-4-3 overall since 2009 against MW opponents and 26-2-1 since the beginning of 2011 (regular-season games only).

- The Aztecs love the month of October. Since 2012, SDSU has produced a 18-2 record in October and has won nine of its last 10 in the month. Since 2009, San Diego State has an October record of 34-6-3.

- SDSU has not lost to unranked foes in back-to-back outings since Sept. 18 and 21, 2011. The Aztecs have played 71 games since then. San Diego State has not lost back-to-back MW games since Oct. 9 and 11, 2008 (49 games). In home games, SDSU has not lost consecutive games vs. unranked foes since Sept. 24 and 26, 2010 (48 games). More impressive is the fact that the Aztecs have never lost two straight conference home games in the same season in school history (125 games).
