2014 Singles Draw 2014 Doubles Draw
SAN DIEGO - Beginning Thursday, October 16, the San Diego State women's tennis team will participate in and act as co-host to the ITA West Regional. The tournament will be held at Barnes Tennis Center in the Point Loma area of San Diego. The Regional is set to conclude on Monday, October 20.
The ITA action will include singles and doubles play throughout the tournament. The event will welcome schools from all over the region including 12 from Southern California, three from Arizona and one from Hawaii. For the first two days of the weekend's festivities, first serve is set for 8:30 a.m.
The Aztecs will look to build on their season-opening play at the SDSU Fall Classic I, which was held Sept. 26-28, at the Aztec Tennis Center. One of the three Aztec titles came in the white doubles draw as Kennedy Davis and Olivia Larsson completed a perfect weekend in doubles play. Also recording a victory were Jana Buth and Hailey Johnson as they topped a doubles team from Loyola Marymount.
Entering regional action, San Diego State will look to sophomore returner Kennedy Davis, to lead the team. Davis completed a spotless weekend during the SDSU Fall Classic I and captured the title in both brackets in which she was entered, dropping only one set the entire weekend.
The winner of the Tournament in Doubles and the finalists in singles will advance to the ITA National Indoors in November. Complete results from each day of the ITA West Regional will be posted on GoAztecs.com.
