SAN DIEGO, Calif. - With the weekend off from intercollegiate action, the San Diego State volleyball team will host its annual Alumni match on Saturday, Sept. 13. Action will get underway at 6:00 p.m. on Aztec Court in Peterson Gym. The event is open to the public free of charge.
Tentative plans call the Alumni to play a set amongst themselves before taking on this year's SDSU varsity squad.
Former Aztec women's volleyball head coaches Rudy Suwara and Mark Warner will be on hand to coach an alumni squad led by former Mountain West Conference Player of the Year Aspen McPartland along with others such as Lindsey Mahan and Kelsey Manasco will also be in attendance joined by several members of the 2013 Aztec squad.
The Aztecs enter the week with a 3-3 record after winning its three matches during last weekend's SDSU-USD 2014 Challenge including victories over Brown, Villanova and Cal State Fullerton.

San Diego State will resume its 2014 campaign next weekend when it hosts 13th-ranked University of San Diego on Tuesday, Sept. 16, on newly-renovated Aztec Court.
