The San Diego State softball team will play nine fall games across seven dates, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced today. All nine games are exhibition contests and do not count toward the Aztecs' 2015 official playing season.

SDSU kicks off its 2014 fall slate on Friday, Oct. 17 at Grossmont College at 3 p.m. PT., before taking on Southwestern CC on Saturday, Oct. 25 at noon PT at Mater Dei High School. On Friday, Oct. 31, San Diego State travels to La Jolla to meet UC San Diego at 3 p.m. PT.

The Aztecs return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 with a pair of games at the USD Softball Complex. SDSU will first play El Camino College at 11:30 a.m. PT, then follows with a 2 p.m. PT contest against the host Toreros.

San Diego State kicks off a busy weekend on Nov. 14-15 by welcoming a men's team to SDSU Softball Stadium on Friday at 6 p.m. PT. On Saturday, the Aztecs will face Palomar College (10 a.m. PT) and Cal State San Marcos (noon PT) in San Marcos.

The SDSU Alumni game once again highlights the 2014 fall schedule and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at SDSU Softball Stadium at noon PT. That will be the final exhibition contest for San Diego State, which begins its 2015 season in February.

Admission is free to all Aztec exhibition games.

San Diego State finished with a 40-19 record in 2014, winning its third consecutive Mountain West championship and seventh in the 15-year history of the league, and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh consecutive season. The Aztecs' 40 victories were the fourth most in program history and most since winning a school-record 44 times in 2008. SDSU also finished the 2014 campaign with seven school records, including batting average (.301), on-base percentage (.397), runs (301), hits (467), RBIs (270), walks (226) and times hit by pitch (30).
