SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
The San Diego State Aztec baseball program has announced that it will hold its annual Alumni Weekend during the weekend of Nov. 7-8. Events include a golf tournament and the Aztec Homecoming football game against Idaho that features the annual KGB SkyShow.
The weekend begins with the golf tournament on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Sycuan Oak Glen Golf Course. Check-in is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with play getting underway with a shotgun start at 11:00. Cost is $115 per player with hole sponsorships available for $150. The tourney is open to baseball alumni as well as fans and supporters of the program.
Following the tournament there will be a reception to honor Tony Gwynn at Glen Oak Golf Course. Cost of the reception is included in the fee for the tournament or may be purchased for $30 by alumni and guests not playing in the tourney.
On Saturday (Nov. 8) alums will have the opportunity to attend San Diego State's football game against Idaho at Qualcomm Stadium. A pregame tailgate party will be held in Aztec SkyShow Village in the stadium parking lot beginning at 12:30 p.m. with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m. Total cost for the tailgate ($10) and game ticket ($18) is $28.
Alumni also have the opportunity to sign up for the Aztec Varsity Club, an organization open to all former (and current) student-athletes, equipment managers and trainers for the purpose of connecting with fellow Aztecs in support of San Diego State Athletics. The annual membership fee for the AVC ($50) includes a ticket to the Idaho football game as well as the pre-game tailgate.
