LAFAYETTE, La. - San Diego State first baseman Ryan Muno was named to the all-tournament team at the recently completed NCAA Baseball Regional hosted by Louisiana at "Tigue" Moore Field in Lafayette, La.
During the Aztecs' two games at that event Muno went 2-for-7 (.286) with a single, double and run scored. Over SDSU's two games at the Regional he had a .429 slugging percentage and was errorless in 18 chances in the field.
San Diego State concluded its 2014 campaign at the Regional, finishing with a final record of 42-21, the most wins since the 2002 season and the team's highest winning percentage since 1992.
Season highlights included winning the Mountain West Tournament for the second time since in two years, placing five players on the all-tourney team (including the tourney MVP) and having five athletes earn all-Mountain West honors.
