LAS VEGAS, Nev. - After winning its first two contests at the Mountain West Tournament, San Diego State will face host UNLV in a winners bracket showdown tonight at 8:40 p.m. (PT) at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas.

At stake is a spot in the championship game Saturday night for the winner while the loser will have to play a game Saturday afternoon for the right to advance to the title contest.

The Aztecs enter this evening with a record of 39-18 as the team has recorded its highest win total since the 2009 campaign when it won 41 games.

San Diego State will send junior left-hander Mike Robards (5-4, 4.73) to the mound to start this tonight's contest.

UNLV has an overall record of 34-21 after defeating Fresno State in its tournament opener last night.

The Aztecs and Rebels spilt the six games they played during the regular season with each team winning two of three on its home field.
