Aztecs Announce Six Summer Baseball Camps

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego baseball coaching staff will offer a series of six camps from late June to late July for players of all ages and abilities. The sessions range from Youth Skills Camps for players ages 7-13 to Prospect Camps for high school-aged players. There is also a specialty camp for high school pitchers and catchers, one to experience life as a Division I player and a team camp limited to eight high school squads.

All camps will be administered by member of the San Diego State coaching staff with instructional assistance from local coaches and players. All sessions will be conducted at Tony Gwynn Stadium in the campus of San Diego State University.

YOUTH SKILLS CAMP
Dates: June 27-29 or July 22-23
Ages: 7-13 years old

This camp is offered as a three-day or two-day camp designed to help players take their game to the next level. The camp will cover all aspects of the game. Instruction will include the proper techniques of hitting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, base running, and team defense.

SELECT 20 PITCHING & CATCHING CAMP
Dates: July 1-2
Ages: Any HS grad year 2014-18

This camp is limited to 20 players to ensure that each players gets undivided attention from our elite coaching staff. Each camper will develop their game the way the Aztecs do.

This camp is designed to teach young pitchers and catchers not only how to take their game to the next level but to excel at the next level. Pitchers will learn the advanced ways to increase their velocity and command, as well as keeping their arm healthy, field their position, and get ahead of the game with mental coaching. Catchers will learn the intricacies that come with the position and how to get better at every facet of the game.

ELITE 35 CAMP
Dates: July 6-9
Ages: Any HS grad year 2014-18

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the everyday life of a division 1 college baseball player.

The SDSU coaching staff will be coaching each camper like they are part of the SDSU baseball team. Each camper will stay in the campus dorms, eat in the dining hall, and show up to the field every day to their very own locker with their name plated above it. Each camper will also receive elite individualized instruction, participate in a college strength and conditioning program and get all the academic advice they need in order to excel in the classroom at the next level.

This camp is limited to 35 campers, the same amount on a division 1 college baseball team. The campers will be split into 2 teams (red and black) and play a 3 game series as part of the camp, as well as participate in daily drills covering all aspects of the game.

HIGH SCHOOL PROSPECT TEAM CAMP
Dates: July 17-20
Ages: HS aged teams (not an individual camp - teams only)

This is limited to 8 teams and each team will play a total of 4 games throughout the camp.

Each morning will include individual instruction and the afternoons will include games. Each game will be evaluated by the SDSU coaching staff. After each game every team will go through a clinic with the SDSU coaches. It's a great chance to get some exposure to college coaches as well as get some quality instruction.

SUMMER PROSPECT CAMP
Dates: July 25-27
Ages: Any and all high school aged players

This camp is a great opportunity for prospective college baseball players to be seen closely by our coaching staff here at SDSU.

Every player will get individualized quality instruction in order to improve their game and get to the next level. The coaching staff will cover all aspects of the game during morning drill work and the players will get a chance to display their talents during afternoon games.
