The 18th-ranked San Diego State track and field team will compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, starting Wednesday with the heptathlon.

Nicole Oudenaarden and Allison Reaser will all participate in the Mt. SAC portion of the heptathlon, while Sarah Haydock and Karsen Sper are slated for the California Invite section. The two-day, seven-event heptathlon will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif.

The rest of the meet will take place at historic Hilmer Lodge Stadium at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.

Scheduled to compete at HLS over Thursday, Friday and Saturday include Rachel Alesi (discus throw), Brittany Bozeman (long jump), Kristen Brown (100 hurdles; pole vault), Jasmine Burrell (shot put; discus throw), Dynasty Gammage (800), Madison Gipson (100 hurdles), Brittany Gonter (shot put), Grace Hanshaw (10,000), Marianne Hogan (10,000), Chelsea Kruthers (800; 1,500), Reaser (400 hurdles), Kortney Ross (pole vault), Karen Snapper (pole vault), Sper (100 hurdles), Shanieka Thomas (long jump; triple jump), Maderia Toatley (200) and Meritzer Williams (100).

The Aztecs, who are ranked 18th in the latest USTFCCCA computer rankings, are coming off their fourth straight title at the Cal/Nevada Championships. SDSU won nine individual events over the two-day meet, including three by Burrell (shot put, discus throw and hammer throw) and two by Brown (100 hurdles and pole vault). Other titles at the meet came from Gammage in the 800, Kruthers in the 1,500, Reaser in the 400 hurdles and Thomas in the long jump.

For their efforts, Burrell was named the meet's outstanding field athlete, while Reaser was chosen as the meet's outstanding track athlete of the second straight year. Shelia Burrell was also named the coach of the meet for the second straight year.
