BOSTON - No. 16 San Diego State won both of its games on Saturday at the Harvard Invitational. The Aztecs defeated Marist, 9-7, before downing the host Crimson, 12-8. With the two victories, SDSU improved to 10-6 on the year.

The Aztecs and Red Foxes matched each other's goal production in the first two quarters. Each team scored three times in the first before holding each other to one goal in the second period. The deciding quarter came in the third when San Diego State exploded for four goals, while limiting Marist to a pair in taking an 8-6 lead. In the final frame, the teams each scored once to provide the final margin.

Alyssa Diacono led all Aztecs with three goals and Ioli Benekou added two of her own. Anique Hermann, Claire McKinnon, Taylor Gums and Caroline Israels, meanwhile, all scored once.

In the final game of the day, SDSU returned to the pool and earned its second true road win of the year after defeating Harvard, 12-8.

San Diego State returns to action on Sunday when it faces Iona at 10:30 a.m. ET and Michigan at 2:15 p.m. ET.
