San Diego - The San Diego State women's lacrosse team fell short against Princeton, 16-9, on Saturday afternoon at Cathedral Catholic High School.

The Aztecs fell behind early on, but pulled within two on multiple occasions in the second half. Princeton had the edge in draw controls, which San Diego State head coach Kylee White said was a big factor in the final outcome.

"We gave a good effort the whole time, but didn't necessarily execute the game plan," White said. "We had some good moments we're going to take from this loss and move forward and get better."

SDSU (6-2, 3-0 MPSF) had its two-game winning streak snapped, and will resume Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) play on Wednesday, March 26, on the road at USC.
