Aztec Story Lines
- The defending Mountain West tournament champion Aztecs will return to action Thursday, Nov. 7, in the semifinal round of the league championship, which will take place at the UNM Soccer Complex. SDSU's opponent is unknown, but first tap is set for 7 p.m. MT on the MW Network.

- Top-seeded San Diego State is located on the lower half of the bracket and will face either the fifth seed, Utah State, eighth-seeded Nevada or No. 4 seed New Mexico. The Aggies and Wolf Pack will play on Monday for the right to play the Lobos on Tuesday. The winner of the USU/NEV-UNM contest will face the defending champions.

- The Aztecs, who captured their second straight MW regular-season title with one game to play, capped of their regular-season slate with a 1-0 double-overtime win at New Mexico on Friday. Haley Palmer set up the game-winning sequence when she threw the ball into Kelsey Booth, who split two defenders near the end line and found Haley Locker, who scored from 10 yards out in the 103rd minute.

- The goal was Locker's first game-winner of the season and second goal overall. Booth, meanwhile, notched her team-high-tying fourth assist. Locker and Booth have identical scoring lines with two goals, four assists and eight points, which is second to Hannah Keane's 24 (10 goals, 4 assists).

- With its win at UNM on Friday, San Diego State improved to 17-1 in its last 18 regular-season road games vs. Mountain West foes and snapped a six-game road winless streak (0-3-3) vs. the Lobos.

- SDSU stopped New Mexico's 11-game home winning streak vs. MW opponents (regular season and tournament). In fact, the Lobos were 17-0-1 in their last 18 home games vs. conference foes until the Aztecs handed them a loss. UNM went 1,485 days between home losses to league members.

- San Diego State is in search of its second straight MW tournament crown and third since 2009. The Aztecs are 5-2 in the conference tournament since 2009 and 11-10-2 all-time.

- This is the third straight season, fourth time in five years, and sixth time in the history of the Mountain West Championship that San Diego State has earned a bye into the semifinals. The results have been mixed as the Aztecs have reached the finals three times, winning twice.

- New Mexico is playing host to the MW Championship for the second time overall and the second time in the last three seasons. In 2011, second-seeded SDSU fell to third-seeded Wyoming, 1-0, in the semifinals.

- San Diego State has won back-to-back regular-season titles for the first time since winning two in a row in 1998 (WAC) and 1999 (MW).

- San Diego State has won 11 games this season, marking the third consecutive year in which it has posted a double-digit win total. It is the first time the Aztecs have accomplished the feat since recording seven straight 10-win seasons from 1993-99.

- At 9-1 in league play, San Diego State has gone 16-1 over the last two seasons. Since 2011, the Aztecs have posted a 20-2-1 MW record and since 2009, SDSU has gone 30-4-3 in the regular season vs. conference opponents.

- With the 2013 regular-season league title secured, head coach Mike Friesen has won a program-record four conference titles (regular season and tournament). He surpassed long-time Aztec coach Chuck Clegg, who won the 1995 WAC tournament and the 1998 WAC reuglar-season and tournament championships.
