AZTECS VISIT NEVADA IN IN LONE MATCH THIS WEEK
San Diego State will be back on the road this week for one Mountain West Conference match. On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Aztecs will take on league foe Nevada at 7:00 p.m. (PT) in the Wolf Pack's Virginia Street Gym. That match will have live video streaming in the Mountain Digital Network.

SERIES RECORDS
San Diego State all-time record vs. Nevada is 3-1 with the teams having met on only four previous occasions. The Aztecs prevailed earlier this year with a three-set win over the Wolf Pack on Aztec Court in late September. Last season the Aztecs finished the regular season with a three-set win over the Wolf Pack after Nevada had defeated the Aztecs in five sets in Reno earlier in the season to record its lone Mountain West win of the year. The Aztecs' other victory in the series came in three sets during the 2011 Aztec Invitational in San Diego.

SHELTON HEATS UP
Senior outside hitter Raegan Shelton has been in double figures in kills in five of the past six matches and is averaging 3.74 kills per set over that span. She led all players with 16 kills in Monday's (Nov. 11) three-set win over UNLV.

HARRIS ON THE ATTACK
Middle blocker Emily Harris tops the team in hitting percentage with a mark of .358. She recorded a season-high .667 attack percentage in the win over Air Force on Oct. 31 while leading all players with 11 kills in that match. Her .339 career hitting percentage ranks fourth on the SDSU career list and 10th in the Mountain West record book heading into this week's match. She is leads the team in blocking with a mark of 1.11 blocks per set.

FOUCH SETTING IT UP
Senior setter Johnna Fouch recorded a double-double in the win over UNLV on Nov. 11 (28 assist-15 digs), to give her 10 on the season. Fouch tied her career best with three block assists in the win over Air Force on Oct. 31. During the NAU Fiesta Bowl Classic the weekend of Sept. 6-7, her 54 assists vs. Idaho established a tournament record for assists in a three-set match.

SANDBERG COMING ON
Kaja Sandberg has registered six kills in each of SDSU's past three matches. She had a .600 hitting percentage in the contest at Fresno State (Nov. 9) with six kills and no errors on 10 attacks. She had eight total blocks (2 solo, 6 assists) in the win over Air Force on Oct. 31, the third time this season she has tied her personal best in that category.

NASH LEADS THE OFFENSE
Senior Summer Nash matched her career high with 21 kills in the match at San Jose State on Nov. 7. She also had 21 kills this season in contests vs. Texas-San Antonio (Aug. 31) and Northeastern (Sept. 14). She set a career-high with a .706 hitting percentage in the win at Boise State (Oct. 26) with 12 kills and no errors on 17 attempts. She leads the team in kills at 3.52 per set and in points at 3.98 per set.

RING DEBUTS AT LIBERO
Senior defensive specialist Christie Ring, in her second start at the libero position, turned in a career-high 21 kills in the match at San Jose State on Nov. 7. She also set a career best with six assists in the win over UNLV this past Monday (Nov. 11) She had made her first start at the libero position on Nov. 2 vs. New Mexico and responded with 12 digs. Over San Diego State's last four contests Ring is averaging 4.07 assists per set.

WABER SOLID UP FRONT
Michelle Waber had seen limited action in the previous matches prior to recording 12 kills in the three-set victory over UNLV on Monday (Nov. 11). She had 10 kills over the three sets at Utah State (Oct. 24), reaching double figures in that category for the third time in four matches. In the absence of Summer Nash due to injury (Oct. 10-12), Waber led the Aztecs with 16 kills in each match that week (at New Mexico and at Air Force).

FOUCH MOVING UP THE CHARTS
Setter Johnna Fouch's three-plus year mark of 4,379 assists places her third on the SDSU career list. The top spot is held Andrea Clark (1994-97) with 4,916. Fouch ranks seventh on the Mountain West career assist list and needs 90 assists to move into the No. 6 spot. Her 43 career double-doubles is the most among active players in the Mountain West and is fourth on the all-time conference list.

AZTEC NOTES
The Aztecs have been involved in six five-set matches this season and have a mark of 1-5 in those contests. Last year they went 7-3 in five-set contests ... San Diego State leads the Mountain West in assists at 13.44 overall and in league matches only at 13.56 per set ... As a team, SDSU ranks 17th in the nation in assists (13.44 per set) and 21st in kills (14.26 per set) ... The Aztecs' longest win streak this season has been three matches (twice) while the longest losing streak has also been three contests (on two occasions) ... SDSU is 22-3 on its home court over the past two seasons ... Three players have started all 25 matches for the Aztecs this fall: Johnna Fouch, Emily Harris and Chaiymin Steel.

UP NEXT
San Diego State will conclude its 2013 home season with a pair of matches next week. On Thursday, Nov. 21, the Aztecs will host Boise State for a contest at 7:00 p.m. on Aztec Court in Peterson Gym. Two days later (Saturday, Nov. 23), SDSU will face Utah State at 1:00 p.m. The match vs. Utah State has been designated as Senior Day with the Aztecs honoring seven athletes who will be playing their final homes match for the Red & Black.
