SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's soccer senior midfielder Kody Duff was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District 8 Men's Soccer Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today. It is the second-consecutive year Duff has earned the honor.
The Roseville, Calif., native is majoring in business finance at SDSU, and holds a cumulative grade-point average of 3.51. On the field, Duff is third on the team with six points on two goals and two assists. For his career, the senior has recorded 22 points on eight goals and six assists.
Duff is the only Aztecs men's soccer student-athlete to receive all-district accolades since Kevin Sapanli was honored in 2003.
The teams, which are selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both on the field and in the classroom.
Duff now advances to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected early next month.
