The San Diego State softball team will play a nine-game fall schedule, including eight at SDSU Softball Stadium, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced today.
The Aztecs will begin their 2013 fall slate on Friday, Oct. 18 at home against Grossmont CC at 3 p.m. PT. The following day (Saturday, Oct. 19), SDSU plays host to Southwestern CC at 1 p.m. PT.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, San Diego State welcomes Long Beach CC at 11 a.m. PT.
The Aztecs then travel across town to take on UC San Diego in La Jolla on Friday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. PT. SDSU follows with a home contest against Santa Ana CC at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.
The following weekend, San Diego State meets Palomar CC (Friday, Nov. 8 - 3 p.m. PT) and Cal State San Marcos (Saturday, Nov. 9 - 1 p.m. PT).
The Aztecs end their fall campaign on the weekend of Nov. 15-16. SDSU first takes on a men's team at 7 p.m. PT Friday (Nov. 15) and then will play host to its annual Alumni Game at noon PT Saturday (Nov. 16). A BBQ will follow the Alumni Game.
Admission is free for the entire fall exhibition schedule.
San Diego State finished with a 36-20 record in 2013 and claimed its sixth Mountain West Championship.
