SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State rowing team concluded competition in the 40th annual San Diego Crew Classic on Sunday. The Aztecs had one boat race on Sunday, the Varsity 8 contending in the Women's Collegiate Varsity Petite Final.
The SDSU Varsity 8 crew finished in sixth place with a time of seven minutes, 15.47 seconds in the petite final. The race was taken by fellow future Conference USA member, Sacramento State, with a time of 6:58.30. The race that began at 9 am was the final outing for all San Diego State boats in the weekend event.
The Aztecs will next take to the water on April 20 when they will begin competition at the NorCal/SoCal Challenge in Redwood Shores, Calif.
