COLRADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The San Diego State divers concluded competition at the Air Force Invitational on Saturday as freshman Ashley Stott turned in the team's top performance on the 3-meter board.
Stott was the lone Aztec to advance to the finals after finishing the prelims in fifth place with a score of 281.05. The first-year Aztec from Temecula, Calif., then scored 240.95 over her final six dives to finish the afternoon in eighth spot.
The other three Aztec divers competing all finished among the top 30 of the 48 athletes participating on the 3-meter board. That trio included junior anna Steiner (261.75 - 12th), senior Rafaella Suarez (236.60 - 22nd) and freshman Kelsey Bean (224.95 - 30th).
The divers will now prepare for the upcoming Mountain west Championships which will be contested Feb. 2-23 in San Antonio, Texas.
