This year, six BIG EAST schools are set to compete in bowl games, including Louisville in the Sugar Bowl vs. Florida. Other bowl qualifiers include Boise State (Las Vegas Bowl vs. Washington), SMU (Hawai'i Bowl vs. Fresno State), Central Florida (Beef `O' Grady Bowl vs. Ball State), Cincinnati (Belk Bowl vs. Duke) and Rutgers (Russell Athletic Bowl vs. Virginia Tech).
The Aztecs have won seven consecutive games and are 9-3 heading into their Poinsettia Bowl meeting with Brigham Young on Dec. 20.
