SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's soccer team moved up to No. 4 in the final regular season National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The ranking is now the highest ever achieved by an Aztec women's soccer squad, bettering the previous high of No. 6 accomplished on Oct. 16.

The Aztecs also moved up to No. 2 in the NSCAA Pacific Region poll, trailing Stanford. Fellow MW member New Mexico is receiving votes in the poll.

San Diego State, which moved up to No. 5 in TopDrawerSoccer.com's field of 64, won the Mountain West Championship last weekend as it earned a 3-0 win against UNLV on Friday in the semifinals and then picked up a 2-0 victory over New Mexico on Sunday to win the MW title. The Aztecs are now 19-1-1, which marks the best win percentage (.929) in the NCAA this season.

The Aztecs return to action on Saturday as they play host to Cal State Northridge in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The contest is scheduled for a 7 p.m. PT start at SDSU Sports Deck.
