SAN DIEGO -

AZTEC SOFTBALL CAMPS

The San Diego State softball team will host a pair of camps in the upcoming weeks, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced today. The first will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 at SDSU Softball Stadium, while the second will take place on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Escondido High School.

On Nov. 17, the Aztecs will be hosting an all skills camp for girls between the ages of 7 and 18 years old. The camp, which will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., will include fundamentals on fielding and throwing technique, position work, hitting breakdowns and some softball fun!

The camp is $60 and is open to any and all participants. Each attendee must bring her own equipment and provide her own lunch.

On Dec. 15, SDSU will host a specialty winter camp at Escondido High School in Escondido, Calif., for girls 11 and older. The camp will be broken up into two sessions, the first from 9 a.m.-noon, which will feature instruction on pitching, catching and defense. The second will take place from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Players can go to either session (pitching, catching and defense from 9 a.m.-noon or hitting from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.) for $175 or just one session for $100. The camp is for all players who love softball and want to have fun getting better.

Each attendee must bring her own equipment and provide her own lunch. Additionally, pitching participants must bring a catcher and catching participants must have catching gear.
