Team Notes
• SDSU finished without a penalty in the game for the first time since Nov. 3, 1973 at San Jose State.
• The Aztecs have won by 24 or more points in consecutive games for the first time since 1999.
• San Diego State improved to 45-27-2 all-time in homecoming games. The Aztecs have now won two of their last three homecoming games after losing their previous seven in the annual contest.
• SDSU, which came into the game ranked 10th nationally (tied) with 14 forced turnovers, forced three tonight, giving it 10 in its last three games.
• San Diego State has received the ball first in all seven games this season.
• The Aztecs' 75-yard scoring drive to open up the game was their longest opening drive of the season.
• SDSU surrendered a touchdown on Colorado State's opening drive. It was the first points allowed by San Diego State on its opponents' opening drive since the opener at Washington.

Coach Rocky Long Notes
• Improved to 12-8 as head coach at San Diego State. That is the best 20-game start with the Aztecs since Claude Gilbert went 16-3-1 during the 1973 and 1974 seasons.
• Picked up his 74th win while coaching in the Mountain West. Long had 62 wins with New Mexico in the Mountain West (1999-2008) and has 12 over the past two years with SDSU. Long's 74 Mountain West wins only trails Gary Patterson of TCU, who had 77.

• Had a career-high 13 tackles (previous best was eight vs. Army on Sept. 10, 2011).

• Had a career-high eight tackles.
• Had his first two career interceptions.

• Had two pass breakups and now has 35 for his career, which moved him into second place on the school's all-time list, trailing only Eric Lewis' 37, set from 1995-98.

• Marcus Andrews got his first start of the year at the Warrior position and ninth of his career.
• Nik Embernate started for the 40th time of his career, the most of any current Aztec.
• Alec Johnson and Leon McFadden each started for the 33rd consecutive game (most on the team).
• Dominique Sandifer had a season-high four receptions, his most since a six-catch game against Utah on Nov. 20, 2010.
• Gavin Escobar caught a pass for the 14th consecutive game.
• Eric Pinkins had his first career sack.
• Chance Marden made his fourth consecutive field goal of the season after starting the season 0-for-3.
