Colorado State-San Diego State Postgame Notes

Team Notes
• SDSU finished without a penalty in the game for the first time since Nov. 3, 1973 at San Jose State.
• The Aztecs have won by 24 or more points in consecutive games for the first time since 1999.
• San Diego State improved to 45-27-2 all-time in homecoming games. The Aztecs have now won two of their last three homecoming games after losing their previous seven in the annual contest.
• SDSU, which came into the game ranked 10th nationally (tied) with 14 forced turnovers, forced three tonight, giving it 10 in its last three games.
• San Diego State has received the ball first in all seven games this season.
• The Aztecs' 75-yard scoring drive to open up the game was their longest opening drive of the season.
• SDSU surrendered a touchdown on Colorado State's opening drive. It was the first points allowed by San Diego State on its opponents' opening drive since the opener at Washington.
• The Aztecs had a 16-play scoring drive in the second quarter, their most plays on a single drive this season.

Coach Rocky Long Notes
• Improved to 12-8 as head coach at San Diego State. That is the best 20-game start with the Aztecs since Claude Gilbert went 16-3-1 during the 1973 and 1974 seasons.
• Picked up his 74th win while coaching in the Mountain West. Long had 62 wins with New Mexico in the Mountain West (1999-2008) and has 12 over the past two years with SDSU. Long's 74 Mountain West wins only trails Gary Patterson of TCU, who had 77.

• Threw his 12th and 13th touchdown passes of the season and 31st and 32nd of his career.
• Has thrown for multiple touchdown passes in five straight games and 12 times in his career.
• Has a touchdown pass in all seven games as an Aztec.
• Finished with a passing efficiency rating of 171.84, the second-highest mark of his career.
• Also ran for a touchdown, his fourth in the past two weeks and sixth for his career.

* Adam Muema, So., RB (14 att., 105 yds., 2 TDs | 1 rec., 32 yds.)
• Broke 100 yards rushing for the third time this season and fourth time of his career. The four times are tied for the 18th most every by an Aztec.
• Scored his eighth and ninth rushing touchdown of the season and 11th and 12th of his career.
• Has a rushing touchdown in eight consecutive games.
• Has three straight games with multiple touchdowns and four for his career.
• Has 10 overall touchdowns this season (one receiving) and 14 for his career (two receiving).

* Walter Kazee, Sr., RB (14 att., 95 yds. | 1 rec., 7 yds.)
• Had 95 yards tonight to move into 15th-place on the school's all-time rushing list with 1,511 career yards. He passed Don Shy (1,432 from 1965-66) and Atiyyah Henderson (1,437 from 2006-08).
• The 95 yards was his fourth-highest total of his career.
• Had a 40-yard rush in the fourth quarter, his longest of the season.

* Brice Butler, Sr., WR (3 rec., 43 yds., 1 TD)
• Caught a 15-yard touchdown pass, his third straight game with a TD reception, fourth of the season and seventh of his career.
• Caught a pass for the fifth straight game.

* Chad Young, Jr., FB (2 rec., 14 yds., 1 TD)
• Had a 7-yard touchdown pass. It was his second touchdown reception this season and third of his career. He has two overall touchdowns this season and five for his career (two rushing).

* Jake Fely, So., LB (13 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 3.5 TFL, 1 FR)
• Had a career-high 13 tackles (previous best was eight vs. Army on Sept. 10, 2011).
• Also set career bests in tackles for loss (3.5) and sacks (2.0).
• Picked up the second fumble recovery of his career/season.

* Derek Largent, So, LB (8 tackles, 2 INTs)
• Had a career-high eight tackles.
• Had his first two career interceptions.
• Became the first Aztec with two interceptions since Larry Parker had two vs. Washington State on Sept. 17, 2011.
• He has now gained four turnovers this season (two fumble recoveries, two interceptions), which have led to 28 San Diego State points (four touchdowns).

* Josh Wade, Sr., DB (8 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 1 FF)
• Had a career-high eight tackles.
• Forced his first career fumble.

* Leon McFadden, Sr., DB (3 tackles, 2 PBUs)
• Had two pass breakups and now has 35 for his career, which moved him into second place on the school's all-time list, trailing only Eric Lewis' 37, set from 1995-98.

Other Notes
• Marcus Andrews got his first start of the year at the Warrior position and ninth of his career.
• Nik Embernate started for the 40th time of his career, the most of any current Aztec.
• Alec Johnson and Leon McFadden each started for the 33rd consecutive game (most on the team).
• Dominique Sandifer had a season-high four receptions, his most since a six-catch game against Utah on Nov. 20, 2010.
• Gavin Escobar caught a pass for the 14th consecutive game.
• Eric Pinkins had his first career sack.
• Chance Marden made his fourth consecutive field goal of the season after starting the season 0-for-3.
