SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Sockers of the Professional Arena Soccer League signed former Aztec men's soccer standouts Raymundo Reza and Matt Couch, the organization announced Friday. The duo joins former SDSU player and back-to-back PASL MVP Kraig Chiles on the squad.

Reza started the final 55 games of his career with the Aztecs, scoring 20 goals and earning first-team all-Pac-10 and second-team NSCAA All-Far West Region honors. Reza's 20 points in his junior season were the most for an Aztec since Sockers captain Aaron Susi's 21-point season in 1996. After his senior season at SDSU, Reza was selected by the Portland Timbers of the MLS with the second pick of the second round in the 2011 supplemental draft.

Couch was a four-year starter at SDSU who earned second-team all-Pac 10 honors after his senior season, and was selected in the fourth round of the 2006 MLS supplemental draft by the Los Angeles Galaxy. Couch was a teammate of Chiles while at SDSU.

The Sockers enter the 2012-13 season as three-time defending PASL champions.
