Twenty-Two Former Aztecs on 2012 NFL Rosters

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team has 22 former Aztecs on 2012 National Football League rosters. SDSU ranks third in the Mountain West, trailing only Fresno State (29) and Boise State (27).

The list includes eighth players from last year's team in center Aaron Brewer, linebacker Miles Burris, center Tommie Draheim, running back Ronnie Hillman, quarterback Ryan Lindley, defensive tackle Jerome Long, defensive back Larry Parker and punter Brian Stahovich.

Half of those players from the 2011 squad are on AFC West rosters, including both Hillman and Brewer with the Denver Broncos. Long, meanwhile, is on the Kansas City Chiefs and Burris is with the Oakland Raiders. Lindley and Parker along with former wide receiver DeMarco Sampson are with the Arizona Cardinals. Rounding out former Aztecs from 2011 is Stahovich with the Indianapolis Colts and Draheim with the Green Bay Packers.

Former wide outs Vincent Brown (San Diego Chargers), Chaz Schilens (New York Jets), Brett Swain (San Francisco 49ers) and Roberto Wallace (Miami Dolphins) are also on the list along with offensive linemen Brandyn Dombrowski (San Diego Chargers) and quarterback Kevin O'Connell (San Diego Chargers). Other offensive players include guard Lance Louis (Chicago Bears) and tackle William Robinson (Jacksonville Jaguars). Rounding out the list of former Aztecs are defensive end Antwan Applewhite (Carolina Panthers) and linebackers Russell Allen (Jacksonville Jaguars), Heath Farwell (Seattle Seahawks), Matthew McCoy (Seattle Seahawks) and Kirk Morrison (Buffalo Bills).
