LAS VEGAS - Redshirt sophomore Patrice Jackson (Kansas City, Mo.) had two home runs and five RBIs to give the San Diego State softball team a 10-3 win over UNLV Friday in Las Vegas. The victory gave the Aztecs (30-21, 9-2 MW) the outright Mountain West title, their fifth overall and first since 2008. SDSU now has 12, 30-win seasons in the 13 years of the MW.

Sophomore Haley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) continued her record-breaking season by going 2-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBIs, two runs and a walk. Senior Ashley Rose (Antioch, Calif.) doubled and scored a run, while junior Tiffany Corder (San Clemente, Calif./UC Santa Barbara) and senior Felicia Reifschneider (San Diego/Morse HS) each singled and scored a run. Senior Justeen Maeva (San Diego/Mira Mesa HS) added an RBI groundout.
Redshirt junior Rebecca Arbino (Clovis, Calif.) got the win after allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks over six innings. She struck out six to improve to 13-9 on the year. Junior Kamerin May (Corona, Calif.) pitched a perfect inning of relief to end the game for the Aztecs.
