Aztec Invite Day Two Results in PDF Format

Sophomore Allison Reaser won the heptathlon to lead the San Diego State track and field team on the second day of the Aztec Invitational on Friday.

Reaser finished the two-day, seven-event competition with 5,475 points, the fifth-highest total in program history. In her career, Reaser has won six of the eight multi-event competitions she has competed in, including four outdoor heptathlon victories and two indoor pentathlon titles. The two heptathlons she did not win were last year at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and at the Pan American Junior Championships.

Reaser won four of the seven events over the two days and was runner-up in two others. Today, she was first in the long jump (18 feet, 8 ½ inches), second in the javelin (123-05) and second in the 800-meter run (2:19.92 - 3.30-second PR).

Senior Ellie Fanaika took seventh in the invitational hammer throw with a toss of 177-04, the second-best mark in program history.

Junior Alex Evans finished fourth of 26 entrants in the open 100-meter hurdles (14.76), redshirt freshman Brittany Gonter was fifth of 24 in the open shot put (42-11.00), sophomore Heather Arseneau took seventh of 30 in the pole vault (12-04.50).

The final day of the Aztec Invitational begins at 8:50 a.m. PT Saturday with the men's invitational steeplechase. Marianne Hogan will be the first SDSU competitor when she runs the invitational 5,000 at 9:20 a.m. PT.
