SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State rowing team will get its 2012 spring season underway with a dual meet against Loyola Marymount at Ballona Creek in Marian del Rey on Saturday, March 10. The Aztec will have four boats competing against the Lions in three races that get underway at 10:00 a.m.

The first event of the morning will be the Second Varsity 8+ that will start at 10:00 a.m. SDSU has one boat entered in that race with a crew consisting of Courtney Siemsen (coxswain), Sarah Gannon (stroke), Peggy Tio (seven), Alex Kudlicki (six), Chandler Cole (five), Darian Kimball (four), Erica Orgon (three), Alex Accornero (two) and Samantha Flores (bow).

At 10:45, the Varsity 8+ race will get underway with the Aztec boated crewed by Jennifer Miller (coxswain), Chelsee Brewster (stroke), Kate Raymond (seven), Romain Desclos (six), Vivianna Smith (five), Emily Watson (four), Sophie Poser (three), Marissa Shaw (two) and Lindsay Miller (bow).

San Diego State will have a pair of boats in the Varsity 4+ race scheduled to begin at 111:00 a.m. The `A' boat will have Samantha Stauber (coxswain), Cassie Wilson (four), Kaitlyn Goss (three), Veronica McLean (two) and Lizzie West (one). The Aztec's second entry will consist Emma Pack (Coxswain), Rae Backens (four), Lauren Parrett (three), Kayli Wagner (two) and Tara Kistler (one).

The races will begin near the LMU Boathouse located at 13669 Fiji Way in Marina del Ray. Free parking is available to spectators at Dock 52 on Fiji Way. There is a bike path that follows the entire course. To access the bike path, fans can follow Fiji Way to the end and merge onto the bike path that is adjacent to Ballona Creek.
