FORT COLLINS, Colo. -
San Diego State Head Coach Steve Fisher
On Colorado State's performance:
"We were beaten today. We played hard. We had a difficult time making shots. Part of that goes to Colorado State and how they guarded. We had a hard time making shots and they made shots. They were 23 of 23 from the free-throw line. Today they were without question the better team."
On what CSU did to find success:
"They went away from running set plays. They ran their motion offense, I remember that. They were quick movements and set screens spontaneously. It was harder to keep the ball on one side of the court and then they made shots. (Will) Bell makes two face-up jumpers to start the game and they go four of four from the three-point line early. They set the tone early. They built confidence in themselves early. They were very, very good. This is a good basketball team. They can shoot the ball. They're one of the top teams in the country in field-goal-percentage and three-point shooting and they proved that today."
On if altitude, travel or other reasons affected the Aztecs' play:
"No, absolutely not. I'm giving all the credit to Tim Miles and his staff and what their players did today because they came in with a must-win and they got the win. They were terrific."
