No. 25 SDSU Shoots For Fifth Straight Win Friday vs. Redlands
* No. 25 San Diego State, sporting its new Associated Press national ranking, continues its six-game homestand on Friday when Redlands pays a visit to Viejas Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. PT and tickets to the game are half-off. There is no television for the event.
* For the first time all season, the Aztecs own a national ranking. SDSU, which was 27th with 67 points last week, moved up two spots to No. 25 (119 points) in Monday's Associated Press Top-25 Poll. In the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Top-25 rankings, San Diego State was not as fortunate as it remained at No. 26th despite posting an 80-55 victory over UC Riverside and an 81-55 win over Elon last week. The Aztecs did, however, pick up seven more points in the Coaches' poll to inch closer to the top 25 and are just six points behind No. 25 Kansas State.
* San Diego State is looking to close out the calendar year on a strong note and in search of victory No. 12. With a win over Redlands, SDSU would put up the second-most wins before the new year in school history. Last season's 2010-11 squad had 15 victories before the year 2011 arrived.
A San Diego State Win Would...

* Extend the Aztecs' December winning streak to 17 games.

* Give the Aztecs at least 12 wins through the first 14 games for just the third time in San Diego State's Division I history, which starts with the 1970-71 campaign.
* Give San Diego State an overall record of 46-5 since the start of the 2010-11 season.
