SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's basketball team on Monday made its first appearance of the 2011-12 campaign in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. The Aztecs enter the poll at No. 25 with a total of 119 points.

After receiving votes in the previous seven AP Top-25 polls, SDSU debuts in the weekly poll after a pair of convincing wins last week to run its winning streak to a season-long four games. The Aztecs dismissed UC Riverside, 80-55, last Monday before beating Elon, 81-55, on Thursday.

San Diego State enters the week with an 11-2 record and has already defeated a pair of nationally ranked teams (at Arizona, vs. California), the top two teams predicted to finish 1-2 in the Big West (vs. Long Beach State, at UC Santa Barbara) and 2011 NCAA Tournament participant USC. LBSU, at game time, was receiving votes. The Aztecs haven't suffered a setback in nearly a month and their two losses have come to No. 6 Baylor and No. 21 Creighton.

SDSU returns to action on Friday, Dec. 30, when it plays host to Redlands at Viejas Arena. Tip is set for 7 p.m. PT and tickets to the game are half-off. Tickets to pre-conference games against San Diego Christian (Jan. 5) and Chicago State (Jan. 10) are also 50 percent off. Fans can purchase tickets online, 24 hours a day at GoAztecs.com.
