-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the seventh year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 329-241 in 20 seasons, while she is 248-176 in her 15 campaigns at SDSU.
-Cal Poly Head Coach Faith Mimnaugh: Mimnaugh is in her 15th season at Cal Poly and boasts a school record of 181-228. Her 17-year head coaching mark stands at 188-290.
-Series History: The Aztecs and Mustangs are meeting for the 10th time with San Diego State owning a 7-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Aztecs have won each of the last seven contests with the most recent coming in 2007, when they came out ahead 80-70 in San Luis Obispo.
