After taking an eight-day break due to final exams, the San Diego State women's basketball team resumes action Friday when it travels to UC Irvine for a 7 p.m. matchup at the Bren Center in Irvine, Calif.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the seventh year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 328-241 in 20 seasons, while she is 247-176 in her 15 campaigns at SDSU.

-UC Irvine Head Coach Molly Goodenbour: Goodenbour is in her fourth season at UC Irvine and has a head coaching record of 35-64.

-Series History: The Aztecs and Anteaters are meeting for the third consecutive year with the sides splitting the last two meetings. SDSU holds a 17-6 advantage in the all-time series and has won nine of the last 11 contests. The Aztecs came out ahead in the last match up in Irvine (64-42) on Nov. 13, 2009, while UCI claimed last year's outing in San Diego, 68-66. SDSU is 8-2 in games played at the Bren Center.
