ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - San Diego State juniors Marisa Fraticelli and Rachael McGlinchy were named to the Mountain West all-tournament squad, the league announced at the conclusion of the three-day event on Sunday.
Both Fraticelli and McGlinchy earned starting assignments in the Aztecs' semifinal round game vs. Wyoming on Friday. Fraticelli played 66 minutes, while McGlinchy played the entire 90.
The duo helped keep the Cowgirls off the scoreboard for nearly the first 83 minutes, but a goal at 82:58 ultimately doomed SDSU as Wyoming escaped with the victory despite being outplayed for the majority of the game.
This marks the third straight season in which San Diego State has placed multiple Aztecs on the all-tournament team. In 2010, SDSU landed two on the squad, and in 2009, it had four all-tourney selections.
