SDSU Game Notes vs. Fresno State
San Diego State will salute 21 outgoing seniors Saturday when the Aztecs play their regular-season finale against long-time rival Fresno State. Game time is set for 5 p.m. PT.
Saturday's contest will be televised live nationally on CBSSN and is also available to San Diego Cox Cable subscribers on Channel 4 San Diego.
Last week, SDSU clinched back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1995 and 1996, by scoring 31 unanswered points in a 31-14 victory at UNLV. It was the fourth road win of the season for the program, the first time it has four victories away from home since 1986.
The current Aztec senior class has helped usher in one of the great turnarounds in college football. Last season, San Diego State snapped a streak of 11 consecutive non-winning campaigns and claimed the program's first bowl game since 1969.
With a win tonight, the Aztecs can match last season's 8-4 regular-season record. Of SDSU's four losses this year, three have come to teams ranked among the top 18 in the BCS ratings (No. 7 Boise State, No. 16 Michigan and No. 18 TCU). San Diego State should find out Sunday if it will advance to postseason play in consecutive years for the first time since 1966 and 1967.
