Xavier Thames racked up a double-double, scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, to help San Diego State take a 76-75 win in overtime against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night.

The game was sent into overtime when Jaime Serna hit a free throw for the Gauchos (4-1) with 3 seconds left to tie it at 63.

The Gauchos led early in overtime, but the Aztecs (7-1) came back midway through the period and pulled ahead on a 3-pointer by Chase Tapley. San Diego State never trailed again.

UCSB's T.J. Taylor made a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left for the final score.

Tapley finished with 16 points while Garrett Green added 13 and Jamaal Franklin 12 for the Aztecs.

Orlando Johnson led the Gauchos with a game-high 26 points and James Nunnally added 16.
